Caring for Your Gemstone Jewellery
I choose only the best quality gemstones and materials for every piece of jewellery that I create. In order for your jewellery to last long and stay beautiful, it is important that you care for them.
To slow down oxidation: A ziplock bag is provided for each item. Ziplock bags help to minimize oxidation of the metals, especially 925 silver and gold vermeil (that is, gold plated over silver). 14k gold filled material can turn dull over time if not properly stored. I highly encourage keeping the ziplock bags and placing your jewellery back in these bags when they are not being worn.
Cleaning: To clean your gemstones, use a polishing cloth and lightly buff the metal surface. Dipping the jewelry in cleaning solutions is not recommended, as some fluids will cause serious damage to softer gemstones such as Pearl, Opal, Turquoise, Malachite, Lapis Lazuli.
Damage prevention: Spraying perfume, deodorant or other substances directly on the pieces, or showering with them, will damage the gemstones/pearls over time.
