Haven Digest #3 - Gratitude for the 2nd Quarter of 2019

So much has been going on in the last couple of months, and the days have been quite a blur as I juggle new projects and fawn over arrivals of new gemstones... on top of regular mummy and wifey duties! Phew!
I could keep charging on like a bullet train, but I know it's probably a good idea to stop and take stock of the quarter that has gone by. It's not an attempt to slow down time; rather, I believe that occasional pauses to reflect are great exercises to remind me of how fortunate I am to be able to do this... and to express gratitude for all of it! ❤️
So grateful for...

1. Custom Order Projects.

This year, I've been spending a lot more time on custom jewellery orders for various customers. You have no idea how much this aspect of my business has evolved me as a person and a designer. Thanks to my customers with their amazing ideas and inspiration, I discover new ways to mix and match all my gemstones, and unleash new combinations every time. These are often where new ideas for upcoming collections are birthed!
If you have trusted me with a custom design, I want to thank you. Not just for your trust, but also for the moments of bonding and laughter we've shared. You make life as a stay-at-home mum less dull and lonely!
I compiled a few custom design stories here with the permission of some customers. Check them out for inspiration!

2. A Long Season of Pearl Creations

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have read about my reflection on how pearls have shaped my design style tremendously this year.
I still love my extravagant and elaborate earring styles, but I decided to 'step out of my comfort zone' (ironic, isn't it, haha!) with a simpler series involving Edison, Baroque and drop pearls, done up with classy gold-filled and 925 silver frames and hooks.
These simple designs are great partnerships to the dressier pearl earring designs, and these have all been made available via my Jewels from the Sea and Blushing Pearls collections. There's something for everyone, as fondly quipped by my regular!
Pearls are also a quintessential favourite for the classic romantic girl, so I featured them in my latest blog post on wedding jewellery styles. Best part: You get to see my old wedding photos. Heehee! As I speak, most of my pearl designs have already found a home with keen buyers. However, I recently updated the Blushing Pearls collection with a new range of designs, and there are a couple still available in my store. If you want to jump on #TeamBlushingPearl, it's still not too late!

 3. "Wait... They're Real?!" The Latest Procurement of Unique Gemstones.

I know, right? With such picturesque patterns on these gemstones, I found it a bit hard to believe that they were actually created in the deep of natural rocks and sand. But alas, creation surprises us, and will always continue to do so. In the past few months, I managed to get my hands on interesting gemstones that reminded me of the Sahara desert, the jungle, Dalmatians, Condor Heroes, and the like! Check them out!

The search for more interesting stones has not ended. I am always on the lookout for stones that bring a joy to our hearts with their amazing natural characteristics. Stay tuned on my Instagram page for regular updates on these.

4. Latest Collection: No Average Geodes

These famous geodes are back! I have six designs set to be released tomorrow, 10.00am (SG Time). Stay tuned on Instagram for the drop announcement!
