The labradorite, a feldspar gemstone, is a unique beauty known for its stunning and distinct property: Labradorescence. This optical effect can be described as irisdescent flashes of light that are exclusive to the labradorite, because of its mineral properties.
What I love most about the labradorite is that each stone's flashes of colour are never alike to another's. It is just like possessing your own personal rainbow in your hands!

Rainbow Rocks #5 - Labradorite briolettes on an elaborate chandelier frame made from gold vermeil. Complemented by blue zircon and Ethiopian opal rondelles.
The Labradorite, named after a province in Canada called Labrador (an area where the stone is found commonly). You can identify the Labrador by its many streaks and dark lines - a very common property! In fact, it is really hard to find a labradorite that hardly has any flaws.
The value of a labradorite also is determined by its labradorescence. A greater play of colour will increase its value.
I am on constant lookout for labradorites - and all my other gemstones - which reflect outstanding and breathtaking qualities compared to common pieces. As such, you can expect nothing less than high quality and authentic labradorites used in my earrings and necklaces in my store.

The watermelon tourmaline is named as such due to its unique characteristic of a pink centre and green rim, making it look like the juicy and refreshing fruit that quenches our thirst and souls on a hot day in Singapore! I guess that’s why I take to it so endearingly! Watermelon tourmaline crystals do vary in their colour zones occasionally, with their pink centers changing to a light clear colour after growing and getting exposed to different minerals over a period of time.
Collector's Tourmaline #2 - Rare watermelon tourmaline slices from Brazil, with a bright pink core and lime green outer rim with excellent clarity and very minimum inclusions. Measures a good size of 16x13x2.5mm, weighing a total of 11.8 cts. Paired along with Moss Kyanite and pink Tourmaline briolettes, Ethiopian Opal rondelles, and pink, blue and green Tourmaline rondelles.
Not all watermelon tourmaline crystals are equal. They are not always consistent in clarity. I am particular about selecting clear and vivid looking tourmaline, and as a result, these command slightly higher prices than tourmaline crystals that are cloudy.
I am committed to procuring only higher grade watermelon tourmaline crystals, and other gemstones for my jewellery, and I keep my profit margins low so that you can still enjoy a one-of-a-kind earring and necklace designs in my store. Each watermelon tourmaline slice that you receive in your design is unique, and because they are 100% natural, you can be guaranteed that you will not find another identical to it in this world.
If you love the funky nature of watermelon tourmaline, you will also love the rest of my tourmaline jewellery. I am obsessed with colours, and will not hesitate to add more vibrance to my designs with the use of juicy tourmaline beads and briolettes in shades of blue, green, pink, and more.
