You simply cannot think about a garden without acknowledging the presence of butterflies on the scene. Like cheerleaders and affirmators of nature's enduring beauty, butterflies seem to possess discerning taste for pleasant things because they are found lingering around flowers that emit striking colours and fragrant nectar scents! This week at the workstation, I began to daydream about what my carved mother of pearl butterflies would be drawn to, and was quickly sent into a rabbit hole of ideas. Inspiration flowed quicker than honey nectar as I started gathering my gemstones. Out of golden schiller moonstones, beryl, morganite, aquamarine and Afghan tourmaline, I built my own fantasy botanical clusters and envisoned my mother of pearl butterflies flitting over them adoringly in a perfectly-choreographed tango!
